Primary Purpose: Provide accounting and financial reporting support by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with budgeting and reporting across multiple entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Maintain and manage accounting records for multiple county offices using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities.2.Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, including profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and supporting schedules for county offices.3.Assist with budgeting processes by supporting counties in tracking financial performance and meeting financial goals.4.Record and review financial transactions, including general journal entries, deposits, and disbursements.5.Reconcile bank accounts and other key accounts, investigating discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.6.Coordinate with CPA and external partners to support tax filings, corrections, and compliance-related matters.7.Monitor and maintain county financial records, ensuring proper documentation and organization of financial data.8.Process invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment processing.9.Execute and record daily and monthly bank transfers, including posting related journal entries.10.Provide financial and accounting support to county offices, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions.11.Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.12.Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to county personnel on accounting systems and financial processes.13.Maintain organized financial documentation for audits and internal review.14.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science or other 4 year degree; or 1+ years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bookkeeping and balancing preferred.
•Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, andother employees of the organization.
•Mathematical skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
•Reasoning Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
•Computer Skills Knowledge of personal computers and software is required. 10 Key skills may be necessary.
