Primary Purpose: Implements, maintains, and supports computing environment by performing the following duties

- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, as well as resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture works seamlessly.
- Planning and implementing system upgrades, including hardware or software updates, and ensuring that all systems are properly patched and up to date. Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.
- Manage, administer, troubleshoot, provision, configure, optimize, and perform lifecycle management of virtualized infrastructure environments, including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix AHV, cloud platforms, and SaaS solutions, encompassing virtual machines, clusters, storage resources, and hybrid-cloud services.
- Developing, implementing, and performing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity in case of system failures or disasters.
- Monitor system/network health utilizing pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise, to include threats.
- Maintain domain names, certificates, and licensing for applicable support.
- Produce and maintain documentation of system configurations and work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the environment.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational tools using Python, Powershell, or other scripting tools to improve system efficiency, monitoring, and administrative processes.
- Evaluate system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to make recommendations for scope and scale.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
- Developing plans to introduce new automation technologies to increase efficiency and productivity levels within the company.
- Ensure that automation projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Write and maintain documentation for system administration procedures.
- Interact with the HelpDesk and other teams to assist in Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and resolving issues when needed.
- Partner with internal and external partners for problem resolution, to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- Research and recommend new approaches and technologies to improve the overall technology stance of the company.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or related IT operations roles.

- Extensive experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, web services, and print services.
- Experience managing and supporting virtualized infrastructure environments, including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Nutanix AHV.
- Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms in hybrid enterprise environments.
- Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages for automation, systems administration, monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiencies
- Experience implementing and supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Strong understanding of server, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience monitoring system performance, resource utilization, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates, domain registrations, software licensing, and related infrastructure services.
- Demonstrated experience with change management, configuration management, and technical documentation practices.
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, and network issues in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities for automation and successfully implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
